Help a Mum Like Amanda Put Food on the Table

Amanda is a devoted mum doing everything she can to care for her two young daughters. Both girls are on the autism spectrum and need extra support. Life has already thrown Amanda more than her share of challenges – domestic violence, housing insecurity, and now the rising cost of living.

“We’ve walked out with only half the groceries we need,” she told us.

“Shopping becomes a game – searching for reduced stickers and trying to stretch every dollar.”

This is the daily reality for thousands of Queensland families. Parents doing their absolute best, yet still unable to put enough food on the table.

Your donation today can help make sure Amanda’s pantry isn’t empty again. Please give now and help families like Amanda’s get through today and tomorrow.

About your donations to Foodbank Queensland

Foodbank Queensland is the state’s largest hunger relief charity, operating for more than 30 years. Our vision is a Queensland without hunger.

Your donation makes a real difference in the lives of Queenslanders experiencing hunger. When you give to Foodbank Queensland, every dollar goes further than you might imagine. Thanks to our partnerships with farmers, manufacturers, and retailers, just $1 provides 2 nutritious meals to Queenslanders doing it tough.

We provide more than 150 meals every minute and over 10,000 meals every hour of operation.

Yes. You’ll receive an immediate tax receipt by email for one-off donations. If you give monthly, we’ll send you a consolidated annual receipt at the end of the financial year.
Every $1 you donate helps us provide 2 meals to Queenslanders experiencing hunger. Your support helps us source and distribute fresh fruit and vegetables, pantry staples, and other essentials to our 350 Community Partners and 400 Schools across the state. Because of you, a child can eat breakfast before school, a parent can put dinner on the table and a neighbour can find hope in tough times.

Of course. If you’d prefer not to donate online, you can call our team on 07 3395 8422 or post a cheque made payable to Foodbank Queensland to 179 Beverley Street, Morningside QLD 4170.
44% of the groceries we provide are healthy, fresh fruit and vegetables. We also supply long-life pantry staples such as rice, pasta, cereal and canned goods, as well as fresh milk, bread, meat and other essentials
Foodbank Queensland does not accept food donations from members of the public, schools or fundraising teams. To operate as efficiently as possible, we source and rescue food on a very large scale from registered food retailers, farmers and manufacturers only. Collecting food this way helps us provide the most food to our network of more than 350 Community Partners in the most cost-effective way. If you are an individual, school, or fundraising team looking to donate food, we recommend finding a local charity or shelter that may be able to accept your donation directly. To find a local food relief charity near you, visit the Find Food page on our website.
